Safariland Model 6287 SLS Belt Holster

The Model 6287 is the concealment version of the Self Locking System (SLS) holsters with the unique rotating hood design. Since there is no snap, the SLS allows for a smoother, single-motion draw and greater protection against attempted weapon takeaways. The hood can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward and actually becomes more secure when upward force is applied. It is also far less likely to release accidentally than conventional thumb break snaps.

The 6287 features a semi-hi-ride position and slightly forward weapon cant, a style popular with major police departments and a personal choice for individual officers. The holster rides close to the body aiding in concealment and weapon retention.

Now standard on the 6287 is the new 567BL belt loop, fitting either a 1.50" or 1.75" belt. Additionally, there are several other belt loops available from 1.50" to 2.25" making the 6287 belt specific. Also offered are two 1" drop model belt loops for a lower ride. The 6287 features a tensioning device, molded sight track and orthopedic suede lining to protect the guns' sight and finish. The Safari-laminate wraparound contruction provides the strongest design combination available.
